Make the Most of your Tradeshow Displays – The 10’ by 20’ or 30’
In this series of posts, which began last week with the 10’ by 10’ tradeshow display, we are looking at the various types of display spaces which are available at trade shows and offer specific advice about how to really make the most of your available space. Today we are looking at a bigger tradeshow display area which is the 10’ by 20’/30’ Inline space. This space is generally used by expanding small and medium sized businesses and will have other exhibitors on 3 sides (aside from the corner exhibits at the ends of each row).
As a bigger space, your display should be quite noticeable simply because of the size. However, that alone is not a reason to choose this size. The increased cost of this tradeshow space needs to be justified. Some good reasons are:
- You offer bulky products or products which need large space to demonstrate
- You have a lot of products to show (remember to consider what products are likely to be interesting to visitors; don’t just fill up your space with every single product)
- You can reasonably expect a high volume of visitors, for example, if you have a large existing client base who will be at the show (remember to invite them specifically as a crowd draws a crowd)
- Any other reason which justifies the use of space – just be sure to have one!
Decide what the tradeshow display is to accommodate
With a length of 20’ (or 30’), you have the opportunity to have a wide variety of display types. With this, you can accommodate displays which showcase multiple products (see the Gravitee Inline range) and/or have a designated seating area (see the Custom Inline range) for proper discussions with serious visitors. You can also choose a custom layout to allow for unique demonstrations of products or ideas you may have.
Your Tradeshow Display Floor
With a large floor area, it is important to get the balance right between including enough furniture and display items, space for a crowd to move around easily, and ensuring the space doesn’t look “bare”. With this in mind, seeing the types of settings available is a must as it will help focus your mind on what is and isn’t important for your specific offering. By using the tradeshow display gallery, you can be inspired by what is achievable and most importantly, identify the key components required for your display. Remember too that at Colorado Canopies, we offer a fully in-house design and advice service so let us help you with your planning.
Furniture and fittings
I said it in my last post and I will say it again now – be practical about your furniture and fittings. Don’t overcrowd your space as ultimately, you want your space to be filled with people, not furniture. However, there are certain things which are almost always required and others which are simply nice to have. Decide what you need first, then what you might like, then, if there is space, what else may be of use or value.
